WeCare Wales Week 2021

11 – 17 October 2021

Between 11-17 October, WeCare Wales Week will shine a light on what working in social care, early years and childcare is really like. Highlighting the variety of jobs that are available, we will be holding events to support jobseekers, workers and employers across Wales.

WeCare Children Instagram competition

We are launching a new competition on Instagram this September to find the childcare teams, play providers and childminders that go above and beyond for the children in their care.

Members of the public will be asked to nominate a childcare team, play provider or childminder that they feel deserves to be recognised for their efforts.

To nominate a provider, they’ll need to:

  • post an image of their nominee on Instagram
  • share why they’re nominating them
  • tag @gofalwncymrucares using the competition hashtags #PlantGofalwn and #WeCareChildren

A panel of judges will then whittle them down to six finalists and the winner will be chosen by a public vote during WeCare Wales Week from 11 to 17 October 2021.

In this webinar employers will learn to:

  • set up a profile
  • post a job
  • edit, duplicate and share vacancies
  • access the employers toolkit.

Since the launch of the jobs portal last year, thousands of care jobs have been shared, making it the destination for jobseekers looking for work in care in Wales. We hope the new employers portal helps employers manage their vacancies more efficiently.
