Exciting launch of WeCare Wales community badge with Girlguiding Cymru

WeCare Wales is thrilled to announce the launch of the community badge in collaboration with Girl Guiding Cymru. The launch took place last week on 5 February 2025 and celebrated the dedication and hard work of the young members who participated in the pilot programme.

The WeCare Wales community care badge is designed to encompass the 6Cs of care:

• Care
• Compassion
• Competence
• Communication
• Courage
• Commitment

along with Resilience and Safeguarding. This badge represents a fun and inspiring approach to care, fostering essential skills and values in the young members.

A special thanks goes to Julie Thomas and Jen Denham, as well as the Llandow Central Glamorgan and Abercynon unit members, for their invaluable contributions. These inspiring individuals were presented with their WeCare Wales community badges on the evening of 5 February 2025, marking a milestone in their journey.

Girlguiding Cymru, the leading charity for girls and young women in Wales, boasts nearly 12,000 young members and over 3,000 volunteers.
