Step into Social Care with City & Guilds

WeCare Wales have teamed up with City & Guilds to support people looking for work in the social care sector.

City & Guilds have recently launched a short online course, Step into Social Care, to promote the social care sector and the jobs and progression opportunities it can offer.

Who are City & Guilds?

City & Guilds is a global leader in skills development, supporting over four million people each year to develop skills that help them into a job, progress on that job and to prepare for their next job.

What is Step into Social Care?

On the Step into Social Care course, you can explore whether a career in social care is right for you and learn about the skills you need to work as a career in the sector. At the end of the course, you will receive a digital badge from City & Guilds which you can use to prove your training and showcase your skills.

City & Guilds are encouraging everyone who has an interest in caring for others to take the course to find out whether working in social care could be for them. Once someone has completed the course, they can then use the WeCare Wales jobs portal to look for job opportunities and access job search support.
