WeCare Wales Care Day at the National Eisteddfod

WeCare Wales is excited to announce that we will be back for the second year running sponsoring the National Eisteddfod on Tuesday 6 August with our Care Day.

Once again, in partnership with the Eisteddfod, Care Day will celebrate our Welsh speakers and hope to attract more Welsh speakers of all levels to consider a career in care.

The Welsh language can be more than words for someone who receives care. Read about some of the benefits of using Welsh at work and find training tips to help you here.

Our new graphic

We’ve designed a new graphic this year in collaboration with the Eisteddfod which we launched on our social media channels recently. Keep an eye out for it at the Eisteddfod.

Playday #Playday2024

Playday is the national day for play, celebrated each year on the first Wednesday in August and this year, Playday falls during Eisteddfod week on 7 August. There will be a range of activities available for children in the Pentref Plant and we’ll be gearing up to the big day too by spotlighting some of the fantastic work and opportunities the play sector offer.

We recently had the privilege, and a lot of fun meeting with the Llanharan Community Development Project in Rhondda Cynon Taf to understand more about what play means to them and the importance of running their open access play sessions in the community. Be sure to follow their Facebook page to hear about how they will be celebrating Playday this year.
