Come and join our team Carmarthenshire County Council is transforming our services for children and young people. This includes a major investment in new children's homes. Our goal is to support and nurture children to stay in their communities and thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in working alongside an experienced team, mentored and supported by the manager in one of our new homes. We are looking for an inspiring person who can work collaboratively in a therapeutic, trauma-informed and attachment-based home that has just been developed for children aged 11-17.
You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of a therapeutic model of care, ensuring that the home is supported by experienced and highly skilled staff who listen to children, caring about them as well as caring for them.
We offer excellent induction opportunities and ongoing training, including supporting you to gain further qualifications. You will be part of an established residential service and a department that offers regular supervision and opportunities for further development.
Our ethos is to provide nurturing, encouragement, care and support to children that promotes opportunities for them to build healthy and positive relationships. DBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk
