NORTH EAST WALES EMERGENCY DUTY TEAM
G13: £52,805 - £56,074
(plus on call allowance payable as and when post holder is required to cover the on-call rota.)
Permanent, 37 hours per week
Wrexham County Borough Council hosts the North East Wales Emergency Duty Team (NEWEDT). This is an established Partnership between Wrexham, Flintshire and Denbighshire Councils providing an emergency social services response outside of daytime office hours.
A unique opportunity to help Manage this regional collaborative alongside the Head of Service is available to you if you relish a challenge, are creative and enjoy partnership working within a social care setting. NEWEDT takes referrals for all vulnerable groups (Adults, Children, Older Persons, Mental Health etc)
Line managed by the Head of Service within Wrexham, you will also work with Senior Managers from the three Counties to further develop the service through a Partnership Board. You will have operational responsibility for the direction, management and development of the Service. Whilst the service is provided 'out of hours', the post holder will primarily work during daytime office hours for the management of the service. There is also requirement to be on call as part of a rota at night and weekends, with the need to be available for shift cover as and when required.
Candidates will require a proven record of accomplishment in leading and managing staff teams effectively including substantial experience of performance management, budget management and Partnership working especially with Health and Police colleagues.
