Kitchen Assistant

This role can be a shared role with hours between two staff.

Catering Assistant/Kitchen Steward/Catering Host/Food Service

Purpose of role:
Reporting to the Home Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible
for ensuring all residents are served with healthy and nutritious balanced
meals and all health and safety requirements are adhered to.
Key responsibilities:

Cooked breakfast preparations and preparation of occasional home baking (cakes and sandwiches etc).
To fill in all necessary legal paperwork where required, i.e. cleaning/temperatures
Stock control and ordering.
Prepare food orders for residents
Preparing trays for diners.
To prepare basic condiment and sauces.
Full training on cooking and serving our menu will be given.
To wash all dirty cooking utensils, crockery, pots and pans using correct
Work well and 'get stuck in'.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrate determination and resilience.
A positive 'can do' attitude.
Extensive catering experience is not so important.
Ability to be organise and methodical in the kitchen.
Hours will be regular, but the candidate will need to be flexible to cover
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 30 per week
