Job description
Llamau is daring to imagine a world without homelessness – will you help us to create it?
Llamau’s mission is to end youth homelessness and homelessness for women in Wales. It’s a big ambition and to some people it might seem impossible, but we know that if we all work together, homelessness genuinely doesn’t have to exist.
We’re looking for passionate, talented and tenacious people to join Team Llamau.
You will be an experienced manager with knowledge of the housing and homelessness sector. You will be a confident leader, able to provide effective support to a team of Project Managers across our young people’s services in Bridgend & Vale.
You will hold a portfolio of projects; ranging from supported accommodation, Housing First for Youth projects, dispersed and shared properties, floating support services and supported lodgings.
You will manage the contractual and quality assurance requirements for your services, including relationships with key stakeholders in Housing and Homelessness, Health, Safeguarding, Children’s and Adult’s Social Services, as well as other statutory and third sector organisations.
At all times you will monitor performance of projects and teams, ensuring Llamau continues to deliver the very best support to young people and vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness.
You’ll be working alongside passionate and supportive colleagues in a rewarding environment, where you’ll be making a huge contribution to creating a Wales without homelessness, every single day.
Location: Cardiff
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week plus on call rota
Salary: £33,243 per annum
The Company
At Llamau we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women. But for thousands of the most vulnerable people in Wales, homelessness is a frightening reality.
30 years ago Llamau was founded to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay. Since then, we have supported over 67,000 young people, women and their children who are either homeless or facing homelessness.
Many people think the job of a homelessness charity will be to provide accommodation - a safe place to stay. But it is very clear to us that for most people who are facing homelessness, their problems are far more complex than a lack of permanent shelter.
That's why we treat everyone who needs our support as an individual. We recognise their unique strengths and needs and make sure that they are supported to rebuild their futures.
