Overall Job Purpose:
To provide management and leadership to a team of social care staff in a designated area of service, and ensure
that the services meet the requirements of relevant legislation and guidance.
To contribute to the Adult’s Services Management Team and the development of a quality service that
safeguards and improves the lives of Adults.
To have devolved responsibility for the management of budgets within the designated service area.
Prif Ddyletswyddau / Cyfrifoldebau
1. Bod yn gyfrifol am reolaeth dydd i ddydd gweithwyr cymdeithasol a staff gofal cymdeithasol arall, gan
sicrhau bod gwasanaethau’n cael eu darparu i’r safonau proffesiynol uchaf y gellir eu cyrraedd, eu
bod yn cyfarfod ag amcanion mesuradwy allweddol ac yn gweithredu o fewn polisïau gweithredol clir
a chyfredol.
2. Sicrhau bod gwaith y tîm yn cael ei rannu’n effeithiol gan sicrhau bod y statws priodol yn cael ei roi i
waith blaenoriaeth uchel yn ogystal â gwneud yn siŵr bod gwaith heb ei ddyrannu yn cael ei reoli’n
ddiogel.
3. Sicrhau bod gwasanaethau’n cael eu darparu mewn dull sy’n adlewyrchu polisïau adrannol a
chorfforaethol a’u bod yn cydymffurfio gyda’r gofynion statudol angenrheidiol, a bod penderfyniadau
ynglŷn â dyrannu adnoddau yn cael eu gwneud gan roi sylw dyladwy i feini prawf cymhwyster yr
Adran.
4. Gwneud defnydd effeithiol o wybodaeth reolaethol a systemau sicrwydd ansawdd i sicrhau bod
safonau uchel yn cael eu cyrraedd o ran darparu gwasanaeth a bod targedau perfformiad (yn cynnwys
Dangosyddion Perfformiad) yn cael eu cyrraedd.
5. Monitro, gwerthuso ac adolygu targedau perfformiad, nodi gwendidau a gweithredu i adfer pethau
pan fo angen.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for the day to day management of social workers and other social care staff, ensuring
that services are delivered to the highest achievable professional standards, meet key measurable
objectives and operate within clear and up to date operational policies.
2. To ensure the effective allocation of work within the team, ensuring that high priority work is accorded the
appropriate status as well as making certain that un-allocated work is safely managed.
3. To ensure that such services are provided in a manner that reflects Departmental and Corporate policies,
and are compliant with the required statutory requirements, and that decisions about resource allocation
are made with due regard to the Department’s eligibility criteria.
4. To effectively utilise management information and quality assurance systems to ensure that high standards
for service delivery are achieved and performance targets (including Performance Indicators) are met.
5. To monitor, evaluate and review performance targets, identify deficiencies and take remedial action where
necessary.
