We’re looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team in Llanelli, supporting three adults with learning disabilities to live independently and thrive in their local community. We currently have: • 2 x 16-hour positions (morning or afternoon shifts) • 1 x 22-hour position (includes a weekly sleep-in shift making the hours average 30 per week)
Our service operates 24/7, so flexibility is essential. You’ll work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as part of a rolling rota. What is the Role?
The clients are very active and love being out in the community, whether it is for their voluntary work, a shopping trip or going to the library. One is involved in the local Warriors rugby club, and others enjoy going to Cardiff to see shows. There is a lot of activity to keep up with!
You will contribute to enabling people to set, develop and achieve their goals, being part of which is highly rewarding.
You will be involved in all aspects of day to day support for our clients, including;
Supporting with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and laundry Planning support on Pobl documents Attending support reviews Supporting clients to keep in touch with family and friends Accompanying them to attend activities of choice Encouraging them to find jobs voluntary work Support with medication and health visits Providing social and emotional support

What skills and experience do you need?
Experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities and mental health is not essential as you will benefit from full training and support from your team and management.
More important to us are your listening skills, empathy, a genuine desire to make a difference and live our values to be Positive, Considerate and Connected.
