Q&A with Chloe

What inspired you to go into the sector?

My brother is autistic, and we never had a bond because I didn’t know how to communicate with him. I took up a pathway course at college where I learnt about numerous disabilities, and now the relationship we have is incredible.

What do you get up to in a typical week?

We do a variety of activities on a day to day basis. One day we’ll go out into the community and do gardening and the next day we could be cycling.

Why would you recommend going into social care?

Seeing people’s faces light up because they’ve achieved something is so rewarding. You go home smiling knowing you’ve made their lives better and helped them grow as individuals.
