Domiciliary Care Roadshow

ADSS domiciliary roadshow - Help create a vision for the future

As part of the Domiciliary Care in Wales Franchise / Co-operative Feasibility Study, ADSS Cymru has worked with social care leaders to co-create a possible new model to support domiciliary care in Wales.

Do you have experience of domiciliary care as a service user, care worker or provider in Wales?

ADSS invites you to share your views and experiences and contribute to the development of new ideas on how to support domiciliary care services. This includes thinking about solutions to key issues, such as how to grow and sustain providers, support domiciliary care workers to enter and stay in the profession, and new ideas that could benefit anyone experiencing or involved in domiciliary care in Wales.

Sign up for the Domiciliary Care Roadshow this March

Anybody with experience of domiciliary care in Wales is invited to sign up to attend the Domiciliary Care Roadshow. The roadshow is a series of three live, drop-in events that will be facilitated by members of the team running the study. They will offer an opportunity for attendees to find out more about the possible new model and share their views.

The events are running in Wrexham, Newport and Carmarthen. Sign up to attend a roadshow event on Eventbrite by clicking on the links below:

Wrexham – Wednesday 15 March

Newport – Tuesday 21 March

Carmarthen – Friday 24 March

Please note, that this event has passed and therefore links are no longer live

ADSS are interested in hearing from you, whether your experience is from the third sector, private sector, health boards or a local authority.

What is the Domiciliary Care in Wales Franchise / Co-operative Feasibility Study?

The study is exploring a new possible model to support domiciliary care in Wales. The model takes inspiration from franchise and co-operative ways of working. A centralised, not-for-private-profit body, its main purpose being to support and benefit everyone involved, would be established for domiciliary care in Wales. The full details of the study can be found on the ADSS Cymru website here.
