Volunteering to Support our Young People in Powys Job description Are you that person who can make a difference by supporting our Young People through difficult and challenging times.
Powys Youth Justice Service and the Young people of Powys requires a special kind of person who can help repair the harm caused by Young People who commit a crime by becoming part of a Referral Order and Bureau Panel that local people take the lead on by challenging children /young people to take responsibility for their actions and helping them to change their behaviours. Restorative Justice panels give those people harmed an opportunity if they wish to voice how the crime has affected them and what needs to happen to put things right to move on with their lives.
The Volunteer role requires working with Powys Youth Justice Services, Children / Young People, Families and the Victims harmed by the crime, to help prevent further reoffending. Volunteer Panel members will talk and listen to everyone involved and agree with the child /young person a positive and constructive plan of action designed to meet the outcomes above in a non-judgemental way.
All Training and ongoing support will be given along with an enhanced DBS check that is required for this fulfilling and vital role in our Community.
