Carmarthenshire Children and Families Services are investing in developing new Social Workers to make this happen. We know that good Social Workers can make the world of difference to children and families who need support. We are looking for people with the life experience, skills and motivation to build relationships with children, young people and their families, get alongside them and help them make the changes children need.

To be considered for this role you will need to secure a place on the Masters Degree in Social Work for this post. To do this you will need an Undergraduate Degree.
The trainee role will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to:
- Receive a full time salary whilst being supported to undertake the Masters Degree in social work.
- Work with experienced Social Work teams to keep children safe and families together wherever possible.
- Receive work-based training and advice.
- On successfully completing the course, a permanent job as a qualified Social Worker in Carmarthenshire Children and Families Services.

DBS level: An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk
Welsh language level - Verbal: Level 3 - You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level
