Where possible, and where a young person's need might be better met by a particular member of staff, based on their skills and experience, then rotas will be arranged so as to promote matching of staff to young people/groups on this basis.
Staffing levels are flexible and change to meet the needs and number of the children/young people staying at Holly House. This means that staff are always available at short notice to respond to changes in situations. If staffing levels are not up to the required amount to operate safely then respite will be cancelled for specific children or the unit will be closed so recruitment of these staff is paramount to the safe and continued opening of Holly House.
The successful candidate will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in Health & Social Care working with Children and Young People. Preferred experience with working with children with disabilities desirable, but not essential as training will be given.
Salary is a Grade 5: Starting from £24,294 to £25,545. There is also an 8% allowance for weekend working and an 8% allowance for working Unsocial hours. This is paid monthly with you wages and takes the annual salary up to £28,181 to £29,632. We also have a very good pension scheme.
Two part time positions or a job share options can be condsidered.
