Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our supported living service in Swansea.
We have a part-time, permanent position offering 18.5 hours per week, with an additional 9-hour sleep-in shift, based on a 5-week rolling rota.
Our service operates 24/7, so you will need to work various shift patterns, including day shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Day shifts typically run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with additional sleep-ins as required.
A full UK manual driving licence is essential, as driving mobility vehicles is a key part of the role to support those in our care.

What is the role?
This service is the home of 2 active and social individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with these incredible individuals to support with day to day independence, enhance their various skills and support them with daily activities as well as providing emotional support.
The service promotes the importance of the “do with and not do for” approach and has had a very positive impact on these incredible individuals.
The individuals we support have different personalities with different likes and hobbies. By being part of this team, you would play an influential role in enabling the people we support to lead fulfilling and independent lives and see first-hand how you make a difference to them.

You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including:
Medication administration Cooking skills and other household skills Some personal care needs Accessing the community and supporting to local groups Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities such as walking/hiking Being a team player and having good communication skills Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard Supporting individuals to budget finances Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence Take the people we support out and about therefore a full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working Supporting Individuals with their individual needs Some lone working will be part of the requirements of this role What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
