We are seeking patient, compassionate, and positive women to join our committed team at our Supported Living service in St Thomas, Swansea, providing essential support to individuals with learning disabilities.
This is a permanent 20-hour role with a structured rota and variety of shifts, including sleep-in shifts. Day shifts are generally scheduled between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm, with sleep-ins as additional hours.
* This position is open to women only due to the specific support needs of the individuals at this service.
* A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role, as driving mobility vehicles is a key requirement to support those in our care.

What is the role?
This service supports a female with learning disabilities, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with her to foster day-to-day independence, build various skills, and engage in meaningful activities, all while offering vital emotional support.
Her favorite pastimes include shopping, dining out, and enjoying other community activities. As this service focuses on supporting one individual, the environment is calm, quiet, and relaxed.

You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including:
Medication administration Cooking skills and other household skills Some personal care needs. Accessing the community and supporting to local groups Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities such as walking/hiking Being a team player and having good communication skills Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard Supporting individuals to budget finances Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing. Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence. Take the people we support out and about therefore a full manual driving licence is essential for this role. Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working. Supporting Individuals with their individual needs Flexibility is key to success in this role.
What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working with people with learning, physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
