We are looking for a dynamic individual, with good knowledge of health and safety in a laboratory environment, high expectations and a commitment to improving the attainment of our young learners. The successful candidate will be a creative, positive individual, with the ability to work well with others and set a good example in terms of conduct around the school.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe storage and organisation of science resources and chemicals, including maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Keeping science apparatus maintained and in optimum condition.
- Work under the direction and leadership of the Science Department or members of the Senior Leadership team on a daily basis
- Supporting science teachers so that pupils achieve the maximum success in their practical work.
- Providing specialist advice and technical support to the science department.
- Preparing materials, equipment and teaching aids for classroom use.
