Further informationWorking as a Residential Care Officer at Maesglas will be not only be an emotionally rewarding role, but one that is most varied too. You will be working with a range of people with different care and support needs which means every day will be different.
Maesglas Community Support Unit provides temporary residential accommodation for up to 10 individuals at any one time. The service is for adults 18 years and over with a learning disability or those with additional needs such as dementia, epilepsy, or physical disability, and the service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for planned and emergency placements.

We are looking for both male and female Residential Care Officers, who have a UK driving license, have access to their own car for work purposes and after training be able to drive the service transport.
We are currently offering:
- 3 x 28 hour permanent contracts (4 days)
- 1 x 21 hour permanent contract (3 days)
Shifts are a mixture of mornings (7.30am - 3.00pm), afternoons (2.30pm - 10.00pm) and nights (9.45pm - 9.00am) and are on a 4-weekly rota.
