[Internal] Young Person's Housing Officer

Working as part of the Council's Housing Solutions Service, the post holder will be required to work closely with the Torfaen Young Persons Support Service (TYPSS) and wider support services as part of a multi-agency team to provide housing information, advice and support to young people. The successful candidate will need a sound understanding of the issues affecting young people and will be passionate about supporting young people to access and sustain accommodation. The post holder will need a sound understanding of homelessness and housing legislation in Wales and will have experience of working with individuals to prevent homelessness. The post holder will be required to undertake housing and homelessness assessments as part of the legislative framework and work with stakeholders and partners to progress sustainable housing solutions in an outcomes-focused way.
