Job description
Permanent 0.8 FTEIt is vital that you demonstrate how you meet the Essential criteria listed in the attached Person Specification, in order to secure an interview: How to apply Guidance for applicants Torfaen County Borough Council.
We are seeking an energetic and committed Officer to be responsible for the Welsh Network of Health and Wellbeing Promoting Schools and Healthy and Sustainable Pre School Scheme, and the Health and Wellbeing Area of Learning, within schools and settings throughout Torfaen.
A key aspect of the role will be to advise and support schools to enable them to develop an effective, evidence based, 'whole school approach' to health and wellbeing. It is important that we support schools to implement the national standards of the Welsh Network of Health and Wellbeing Promoting Schools and ensure national and local targets are met. Some examples of recent local priorities relate to the development of online tracking for Anti-Bullying reporting and the development of an Anti-Racism Action Plan for Schools. The Officer will develop systematic programmes of integrated support, advice and training to raise standards within schools and settings across Torfaen, working in collaboration with a range of partners and stakeholders.
