This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Adult's Residential Care Sector
We pay an attractive salary of £12.60 per hour - Real Living Wage, and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council is committed to paying the Real Living Wage. The advertised salary for this post therefore includes a pay supplement.We are looking for Domestic Assistants to work in any of the 6 Care Homes across the Borough. The position involves assisting the Cooks in the kitchens or undertaking laundry and/or cleaning duties.
You can work between 2 and 5 shifts over any 7 days per week on a casual basis. Working hours will include weekends and bank holidays.
For the role, we ask that you have: - Experience of working in a care environment would be beneficial, although not essential
- Knowledge of the principles that underpin quality care, including dignity and choice
- A person centred approach and the ability to be courteous and responsive to the needs of our residents
