We are looking for a focused and committed individual to join our dedicated team in our large residential care home in Port Talbot as a Domestic Assistant.
We have 1 x 18 hour, part time, permanent position available.
• Day shifts can vary from: 8am – 4:00pm
You will work as part of a rolling rota that ensures consistent support for the individuals in our care.

What is the role?
This service is the home of 59 residents, all with individual personalities and different support needs including some with dementia.
This service is a large, modern, purpose-built residential care home with an excellent reputation of being a quality and valued care provider where the needs of the residents are at the centre of all that they do.
The team understand that everyone is unique. Tailored care is designed to meet the individual needs and wishes of each resident at the home. Staff are highly trained and understand the importance of enabling people to keep control of their lives.
As a domestic assistant you will demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, and focus to provide a high standard of cleaning and throughout the service. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Duties will include:
Ensuring that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the Care Home, Following best practices and guidelines within Health & Safety, Infection Control and COSHH regulations. Ensure that the cleaning schedules are maintained according to company policies and procedure. What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working within a care environment, or cleaning or laundry is desirable but not essential as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;
