Come and join our team An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designated officer for Safeguarding to join the busy Adult Safeguarding Team at Carmarthenshire County Council. The Safeguarding Team is responsible for ensuring that statutory procedures are followed to respond appropriately to safeguarding reports and ensure positive outcomes for adults at risk. The position will involve working closely with partner agencies and the post holder will be able to make prompt and informed decisions in situations involving risk.
The post holder will have excellent communication skills and will have experience of chairing multi-agency meetings and drawing up adult protection plans.
The post holder will have experience of working in a statutory safeguarding role and will have detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and procedures relating to safeguarding, social care, violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence, modern slavery and counter terrorism.
The post holder will have a social work qualification .

DBS level: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job
