Come and join our team An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an aptitude for figures to join the Debt Recovery Team within the Department for Communities. The successful post holder will be organised, driven, tenacious and able to demonstrate initiative.
The post holder will support the Lead Officer in all stages of debt recovery action in accordance with legislative requirements, internal procedures and regulations, preparing files, interrogating information and liaising with other staff for the purpose of debt recovery across both Residential and Non-Residential Social Services.
This is an exciting opportunity and will require high levels of accuracy, excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency with IT systems in order for the team to achieve its objectives.
You will be required to have the necessary skills to deal with challenging situations, negotiate and agree mutually acceptable repayment terms, be innovative in your approach to finding resolutions to cases and problem solve issues by working collaboratively with other officers/teams/agencies/representatives. The team will work closely with the Authority's Legal Department and Corporate Debtors to pro-actively manage the debt.
