Your role will be to provide advice and guidance to schools across the county on any safeguarding issues affecting children/young people, ensuring the signposting to early intervention and prevention services if appropriate or referrals to statutory children's services if early prevention services is not appropriate.
You will represent Education at both operational and strategic service meetings within both Education and Social Services and will have some involvement in th work of the Mid and West Wales Regional Safeguarding Board.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, enthusiastic, creative individual, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and has a sound knowledge of Safeguarding legislation under the Social Services and Well-Being Act 2014 (Part 7; Safeguarding) and the Wales National Safeguarding Procedures 2019, as well as being able to keep up to date with current safeguarding issues that may face children/young people.
