Hours: Various – evening and weekend work and to participate in an on-call rota
Salary: £11.00 per hour (only one of these enhancements is paid per any hour)
Sleep-ins £60.00 per night plus additional payments for unsocial hours:
between 22:00 and 08:00; weekends (48 hours); Bank Holidays
Holidays: 25 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata)
Based at: Merthyr Tydfil
Job Purpose:
You will be a part of a staff team of full-time and part time Young People’s Housing Support Mentors fulfilling a rota system ensuring a staff member is always on shift covering a total of 168 hours of support per week.
You will work under the direction of the service manager to deliver support to the clients, providing high quality and effective housing related support to those aged 16-25 within the 24-hour supported housing property. Support will focus on young people’s strengths and goals according to their individual needs, and the goals identified within their plan, and within a framework of reducing harm, achieving tenancy sustainment, and living independently. You will provide support to the young people with their tenancy & accommodation and use person centred approaches to set goals, review and develop care plans that best meets the individual’s needs.
Staff will be expected to be flexible and work across the hours and days of service delivery (7 days per week, 24 hours a day) and will be part of a rota of on-call service for out of hours provision where necessary.
