Support Worker Mirus Wales
Location: Cardiff
£9.22 per hour / Full Time

Not all superheroes wear capes! Support workers needed for our friendly team

The role can be challenging, so patience and empathy are key. But as a Support Worker, the rewards can be so much bigger than the challenges. You will support with all aspects of daily living including social based activities. You really will make a positive difference to people’s lives and enable them to be part of their wider community benefiting from greater life choices!

You’ll be joining our team, both locally and also far wider as we also operate out of other areas across Wales and we’ll support you every step of the way;

Bridgend/Neath Port Talbot
Ceredigion (Aberystwyth & North Cardigan)
Gwent (Caerphilly/Newport/Pontypool/Torfaen)
Powys (Brecon & Ystradgynlais)
We need you to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of people. We pride ourselves on being values based. That means we believe passionately in helping people be the best they can be, by setting personalised and challenging goals, teaching new skills and encouraging new experiences.

This will lead to people supported taking a more active role in their communities, participating in social activities/clubs, attending medical appointments and even going on day trips and holidays just like everyone should. Being a Support Worker takes bravery, patience and commitment. But working with people gives so much more in return.

You may have a personal connection, a desire to work with, or real life experiences working with people. You might not have lots of experience yet, but if you share our values and are willing to make a difference to the lives of people we support, we’d love to hear from you.

We offer a fantastic induction programme, continuing learning and development opportunities and the support you need to develop a career in social care.

Working hours: Individuals receive constant support over a 7 day week, flexible rota including sleep in-shifts and/or wakes. Full time: 35/39 hours per week. Part time hours are also available, including the opportunity to join our casual relief worker bank.
