We provide support to individuals aged 16 and above with learning difficulties, mental health needs and/or complex needs in a person centered way to build independent living skills in their own homes and in the community. The role entails working in one household per shift (and not travelling from house to house).
If you are looking for a rewarding career and want to make a difference to the lives of others, apply today.
We are looking for honest, reliable candidates who are over the age of 18 and have good communication skills and good people skills. Administration skills are also required as well as the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Arches prides themselves with a supportive management team and responsive on-call service.
No experience is necessary as full training will be given, a robust induction process and ongoing supervision and training. Candidates must also complete required mandatory training and register with Social Care Wales. Opportunity is then provided to complete a QCF L2 in Heath and Social Care (if not already obtained).
Full and Part time positions available as well as sleep-in shifts. The role is flexible covering weekdays, evenings and weekends as well as bank holidays (enhanced bank holiday rates). Shifts for the whole month are given in advance and a variety of shifts are available to suit most people’s work and home life balance. There is also opportunity to pick up extra shifts.
Due to the nature of this work, we are required by legislation to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service for all successful applicants. Arches will pay for this cost upon recruitment.
All training and PPE equipment that is required will be provided
