£10.50-15.75 per hour / Full Time

This position is for 4 domiciliary care workers covering the Caerphilly/Bedwas area.

SHIFTS ARE; 7am to 5pm or 5pm-11.45pm with alternating weekends.

Fulltime staff work 5 days a week and part time staff work 2 days a week.


We are a local family run business We live and work in the Blackwood area we’ve been established since 2005 and are now one of the largest domiciliary care companies in the borough. Like every other domiciliary company, we continue to face challenges on a regular basis and thanks to the dedication of our care workers and office staff we can do this. Our wages are always amongst, if not the highest in the area, but it is not entirely about the wage, this can be a very rewarding position in other ways, a lot of our clients wouldn’t be able to live in their own homes if it wasn’t for great service provided by domiciliary care workers.

We run our shift pattern on a 2-week rolling rota so that you always know what days your working and where you are working.

We have electronic rota’s so that you can see your rota on your phone, you can read comments on there from previous carers and you can make comments for them, this means that your not back and for the office all day to collect new rotas’.

We have a support network in the way of team leaders and managers that are available whenever you need them, although you’re working alone you are never left without support and advice.

If one of your clients goes into hospital, we will continue to pay you for the first 7 days of this so that your pay isn’t effected, we all have bills to pay and this gives you some extra peace of mind.

If one of your clients cancels their call short notice and we can not allocate you to another then we will pay you for the planned call, like we’ve said we all have bills, every little helps!

We provide person centred day books in the clients house so that you can monitor what has been done during your days off, this also acts as a prompt in case you’ve missed something in the care plan.

We pair you up with a regular carer for your days off so you can swap days off between you, this makes hospital, gp, dentist etc appointments easy to organise.

We pay you weekly and directly into your bank, no waiting until the end of the month, No one likes working weekends or bank holidays so to help with this we have higher weekend pay rates and pay time and a half for bank holidays.

We pay you for the visit to the clients NOT per minute, as some other companies do. We do have a minimum time spent at a visit, although we do carryout random spot checks to ensure that this is being met. This protects our clients and you.

We provide everything you need to get started, ID badges, Uniforms, PPE and works mobile phones where required.

We are a family run business so we can make changes at any level to support our staff and clients and as we live local, we feel proud to be supporting and contributing back into our community.

We will pay you £10.50-£15.75ph regardless of your age, If your 17 and do the same work as someone twice your age you will be paid the same.

Training and development.

We have a fully fitted training room and provide our own in house training where you will complete a full induction and training package, this includes; you will be trained in the all wales manual handling passport where you will have hands on training with hoists, hospital beds, slide sheets and other transferring aids. Administration of medication, you will have hands on training with organising, recording, checking, and administering medication. We also provide training in dementia care, health and safety, food hygiene, catheter care and many others. In addition to this you will have to register with Social Care Wales to work as a support worker. This can be done on their website SCW Online, as a new employee this must be done within 6 months of starting, we will assist you with as much support as you need.
