This is a newly created role with a strong emphasis on delivery. We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager who will share our passion for delivering quality aspirational learning opportunities and enable our employees to advance their skills and knowledge within the Health/Social Care sector.

Responsibilities
To develop and manage a comprehensive training programme which meets the needs of the organisation, ensuring all staff are up to date with their required training and delivered through classroom and on-line learning sessions.
Managing and developing policies for implementing specialist training programs for new and current staff, providing on-going support and reviewing effectiveness of deliverables.
Ensuring the provision of a learning environment by participating in the development and implementation of a strategic Learning and Development Plan.
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the professional accreditation for training status of M&D Care and responsible for the renewal of professional training accreditation.
Leading on developing, a long-term plan to address M&D Care training gaps through existing training pathways.
Responsible for the day-to-day management and mentoring of all the training staff.
The role will actively participate in regular audits, surveys, and training needs analysis. The post holder will update programme records, with collated information. They will ensure that selection, planning, execution, reporting and follow-up is completed in a timely manner to allow programmes to develop and maintain the highest of standards.
Maintaining, sustaining and developing effective communication channels and collaborative working relationships with external training providers.
Reporting on the budgetary requirements of training to senior management, ensuring a balanced budget and contributes to cost improvement targets.
Fostering a culture of engagement throughout all learning and development practices.
Delivering a wide range of specialist learning opportunities, supporting new staff at induction through to refreshing the knowledge and skills of existing staff.
To be aware at all times of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and security of information gained during the course of their duties.
The Person
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to build robust working relationships.
Passionate about helping people learn and grow.
Able to motivate and inspire learners to achieve and develop their knowledge and skills.
Excellent training delivery and presentation skills, and good working knowledge of evaluation techniques to aid in programme improvement and personal development.
Desirable a minimum 2 years’ continuous employment in support or care roles in health/social care or education.
Adult/workplace trainer or teacher qualification to level 3 (or above) or equivalent experience.
Experience in developing strategic plans for long term improvement.
Desirable knowledge of training pathways within the Health/Social Care sector.
Ability to adapt to new and updated software packages, e.g., document control, Adobe Connect, LMS.
Demonstrates effective management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and engage others.
Desirable, experience of the QCF system and Social care registration.
Experience in designing e-learning courses and delivering innovative, effective, training programs.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
