The successful candidate will be based at the Risca satellite office and be responsible for managing Cardiff and *any other area that falls within the remit of the company. They will also need to be able to attend meetings at the Newport office when required.
In order to fulfil this role, the Care Manager will require a deep and broad understanding of the regulations and responsibilities as set out by Regulation Inspection Social Care Act Wales and relevant other Health and Social Care Legislation to provide a safe and secure service. The candidate will be required to lead our dedicated and hardworking work force from the front and provide up to date and relevant management information to the Responsible Individual and Directors when required.
The Care Manager will also be computer literate, able to process Excel spreadsheets and interpret data to continually improve the services which we provide. We will require both financial and service targets to be met.
The Care Manager must be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication qualities. You should also be able to fully support the Healthcare Professional team to maintain our high standards of care and levels of service. You will also be expected to manage all aspects of the Domiciliary Care business including recruitment, H.R with our partners Peninsula, supervisions, appraisals and liaising with Social Services and Local Authorities in tandem with the company’s Responsible Individual and the Directors.
The Care Manager will need to be experienced in this field and committed to understanding and respecting the needs of our Service Users. It is vital that the person-centred approach is at the core of all care and support. We have a clear goal of supporting service users with ‘what matters’ to them. You will hold a Management qualification in Health and Social Care or be working towards it.
