Job Purpose

The Facilitator plays an important support role in day-to-day running of the setting. The Facilitator is responsible for:
● Supporting the Lead Facilitator in delivering high-quality child care and nature-based activities.
● Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
● Maintaining accurate records on children’s attendance, development, and well-being.
● Assist the Lead Facilitator in upholding compliance with CIW and relevant legislation
and internal policies.
● Expected to engage in continuous professional development to keep their knowledge
and skills up to date.

Essential Requirements
● Level 2 qualification in childcare (recognized by the CIW).
● Enhanced DBS disclosure check (or willingness to obtain one).
● Mentally and physically capable of caring for children in an outdoor setting.
● Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
● Sound understanding of safeguarding, child development, and health & safety.

Desirable Attributes
● Previous experience in a child care environment.
● Forest School Training.
● Safeguarding Training.
● Paediatric First Aid certificate.
● Welsh language skills (preferred but not essential
