We have a range of opportunities available to you. Previous experience of working in a care home is not essential. Life experience is often more important than work experience, our main priority is to find people who are kind, patient, respectful and resilient – the rest we can teach you!

We are regularly recruiting full-time and part-time vacancies, working day or night shifts. We also have casual (relief) posts which offer you the flexibility to choose when, where and how long you work. Opportunities are available to work in:

Tregerddan Residential Care Home, Aberystwyth
Min-Y-Mor Residential Care Home, Aberaeron
Hafan Deg Residential Care Home, Lampeter
Bryntirion Resource Centre, Tregaron
Yr Hafod, Cardigan
Enfys Fach, Llandysul
All of our care assistants receive a pro-rata salary of £18,933 per year (£9.81 per hour). Should you choose to work night shifts you will also receive a night allowance. Similarly, a weekend allowance will also be awarded for any hours worked on a weekend.

As an employee working in one of our care settings you will be fully supported and protected in your role. No two days are the same in this varied and rewarding, key worker role. As a general guide, your duties may include:

providing total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans
providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change/and or family crisis;
escorting clients out of the establishment, e.g. leisure trips;
completing daily records;
undertaking cleaning, laundering and dining room service.
