The Bevan Commission is seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking person with drive, energy and initiative to make the most of this exciting opportunity to join the Bevan Commission and its Academy. The Communications and Engagement Manager will play a crucial role as part of its small, dynamic and expanding team.The Communication and Engagement Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the Commission’s proactive internal and external communication and engagement; taking a hands on delivery role to ensure that the publicity and impact of the Commission’s work is maximised, and ensuring that communication and engagement with the public and key stakeholders nationally and internationally is effective.Working with the Bevan Commission, to provide a customer-focussed, effective and outcome driven service to build and maintain strong relationships and maintain a culture that openly engages to maximise opportunities and benefits.Person SepcificationESSENTIAL CRITERIA:Leadership Values:Demonstrable evidence of taking pride in delivering professional services and solutionsAbility to work together in an environment of equality, trust and respect to deliver services that strive to exceed the needs and expectations of customersDemonstrable evidence of providing a caring approach to all of your customers ensuring a personalised and positive experienceQualification:Educated to degree level standard or relevant equivalent work experience.Qualification in communications or marketingContinual professional developmentExperience:Developing and executing communication and engagement strategiesForming strong working relationships with colleagues working at a senior level within the public, private and third sectorsArticulating a clear vision and set strategic direction to a wide range of stakeholdersTransforming complex messages into clear messages for different audiencesSuccessful track record of designing and delivering communications and marketing campaignsProven track record of engaging, persuading and building cooperation of others when conveying contentious messages to large audiencesExpertise in building relationships and networks with a wide range of stakeholdersSuccessful collaborative working with a wide range of external organisationsWriting papers, press releases and reportsDelivering presentations at professional or similar groups/societies/networks.
