Bevan Commission Innovators Programme Lead Swansea University

This is an exciting, dynamic and pivotal, senior role working with the Bevan Commission’s support innovative, transformational change across health and care in Wales.The Bevan Commission Innovators – Exemplars, Fellows, and Advocates – are supported to lead, drive and deliver innovative thinking and research across Wales. This includes translating the Bevan Commission’s thinking into practice, testing ideas in practice, creating social movements for change, education, training, and Consultancy Services.In the context of the overall Bevan Commission work programme, the Innovators Programme Lead takes a lead role in developing, managing and delivering Bevan Innovators – Fellows, Exemplars and Advocates, Welsh Health Hacks and Transformational Change programmes. This includes:ProgrammePlan, manage and maintain operational and project management of the Innovators work programmeDevelop and deliver training and education sessionsMaintain strong relationships and develop dynamic networks with the innovators and their organisationsDevelop collaborative relationships and opportunities to work with other organisations to support the Bevan Innovators and transformational change programmes.Identify and develop new innovation development opportunities and new sources of fundingDeliver effective publicity to raise the Bevan Innovators profile and impact.Education and TrainingOrganise and deliver a range of education and training events including; masterclasses, summer schools, workshops, executive and other training and network events.Prepare teaching case studies and research/journal papersProduce guides and toolkits based on the innovators work to support innovative practice.Consultancy ServicesSecure commissions to deliver advisory and other support services influencing change and embedding prudent health and care through innovation and transformation.ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:Leadership Values:Demonstrable evidence of creating a culture that delivers successful outcomes through people, developing and challenging teams to succeed and to take pride in delivering professional services and solutions.Ability to enable teams to work together and across functions to deliver successful outcomes that exceed the needs and expectations of customers, and in creating environments that demonstrate equality, foster trust, respect and challenge.Demonstrable experience of creating environments that identify, understand and give priority to delivering the needs of the customer, and in motivating and inspiring teams to provide the highest standards of personalised care.Qualification:Post graduate qualification in Health-related Business Management, Change Management, Organisational Development or other related experience.PRINCEII, Managing Successful Programmes, APM or other recognised project management qualification or equivalent experience.Experience:Leading programmes in a complex and dynamic environment.Managing complex networks and relationships to deliver change programmes.Planning and delivering education and trainingExtensive experience of writing high quality reports, papers, and presentations etc.Knowledge and Skills:Project managementCommunicationsStakeholder managementDesigning and facilitating workshops and eventsFinancial managementResearch and EvaluationKnowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care landscape in WalesDESIRABLE CRITERIA:Ability to communicate in WelshInformal enquiries: Helen Howson: h.c.howson@swansea.ac.uk or 07748 595 614The University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity in all of its practices and activities.
