Pay Scale: £24,960Full Time, 8 hour shifts over 5 days, Flexibly over 7 days Care in Hand is offering this new exciting role to a motivated individual with a passion for ensuring the highest quality of care practice is provided by carers recruited and employed at Care in hand. The role will require a highly driven individual to coordinate and oversee the practice-based element of learning for care workers employed within Care in Hand. Job duties • Coordinate & complete ongoing practice competency checks within Care in hand • Organise Moving & Handling training & competency assessment of Care in hands workforce. • Manage a small team of competency assessors working within Care in hand. • Report to Care in Hands operational management team department performance and outcomes when required • Develop and maintain effective working relationships and communication within the service, outside agencies and professionals. • Participate in team and service development. Essential Experience• Have the experience to implement company objectives relevant to the department outcomes and manage change effectively.• Experience of Moving and Handling Techniques• Working with vulnerable adults with variant conditions or needs • Can provide constructive feedback to the workforce in a supportive manner to achieve outcomes• Experience in Health and Safety• Proficient in record keeping • Professional & confident in their ability to support the care teams • Presentable in appearance & uphold a professional approach to all aspects of the role• Have the availability to work 5 days flexibly with scope to work the same shift pattern of care workers as dictated by the needs and outcomes of the department and employee needs. Essential Knowledge & Skills:• Knowledge of needs and rights of vulnerable adults with variant conditions or needs• Ability to work on own initiative• Basic knowledge of Moving and Handling Equipment and Legislation • Organisational Skills• Written and verbal communication skills• Work well under pressure• Ability to work as part of a team• Interpersonal skills • Ability to travel within the service provision area for within which you work Qualifications/Training Required:• NVC/QCF Level 2 Health/Social Care or equivalent experience• Moving & Handling Train the Trainer Course – negotiable • Completion of Care in Hand Social Care Induction & Hold registration with Social Care Wales as a Social Care Worker Additional Requirements• Valid UK Driving Licence Required
