Fostering Team Manager

As a Fostering Team Manager you are responsible for the management of the fostering service.

Being a Fostering Team Manager

You will be responsible for the management of the fostering service and supervision of social workers and support workers within the fostering team.

You will set the operational direction, focus and organise the effective running of the service within policy and procedural frameworks.

About the workplace

This is a paid role where you’ll work within the fostering service.

In Wales, fostering services must be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), who register, inspect and take action to improve the quality of care services throughout Wales.

Getting started as Fostering Team Manager

You will need extensive knowledge and experience in the field of child care social work, knowledge of fostering regulations, experience of supervising, and line managing staff.

Required Qualifications

You will need a degree in Social Work and a management qualification.
