Fostering Recruitment Officer

As a Fostering Recruitment Officer you will be the first point of contact for a potential foster carer.

Being a Fostering Recruitment Officer

You will be responsible for guiding applicants from their first enquiry about fostering through to training and approval as foster carers. You will provide advice about the process in becoming a foster carer and often answer questions about fostering.

The role will also include arranging events and activities to help promote the need for foster carers in the local community.

About the workplace

This is a paid role where you’ll work within the fostering service.

In Wales, fostering services must be registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), who register, inspect and take action to improve the quality of care services throughout Wales.

Getting started as a Fostering Recruitment Officer

You will need good people skills, an outgoing and enthusiastic approach and experience in following processes.
