Codes of professional practice
The Codes of Professional Practice are standards that set out what’s expected of people working in social care, to help keep the public safe.
To make sure workers in Wales provide good care and support, there are two codes of practice:
Code of Professional Practice for Social Care Workers (the Workers' Code)
Code of Professional Practice for Social Care Employers (the Employers' Code)
All social care workers in Wales are expected to work to the Code of Professional Practice even if they don't currently need to register with us.
Everyone who’s registered with Social Care Wales must follow the Workers’ Code.
