Overall job purpose This new initiative has been co-designed in collaboration between Anglesey's Children and Families and Learning Services. The teams is a new model of multi-agency service delivery being developed and implemented in Anglesey as part of a new strategy of working together to support children, young people and families to achieve their full educational and social potential. The emphasis will be on effective early intervention in the lives of children and their families to support those changes that will ensure the educational and social prosperity of the children.
The post holder will help deliver direct interventions and educational and social support to children, young people and families who have been referred. The post holder will be part of a growing team as the process of early intervention and prevention strategy is embedded into local delivery.
The post holder will be required to work closely with a vast range of agencies and ensure that families and professionals have accurate, current information about the service delivered by the Team and other services on the island.
The post holder will work on a 1:1 basis or in a group situation with children, young people and / or their families. They will work in a range of settings e.g schools, homes, community
There will be an expectation that the staff within the team have good, sound knowledge of safeguarding children and experience in the field.
To comply with the local authority's Corporate Safeguarding Policy and the safeguarding duties and responsibilities which that policy places on every employee, aligning with the core values of the Authority which includes supporting children, adults who may be at risk and their families to keep them safe and healthy.
