Responsibilities of the Team Manager will be to lead the Disability Employment Support Team to ensure that people with disabilities aged 14+ receive a high quality employment mentoring experience on their journey to paid employment. They will do this whilst also ensuring management of a successful business model that provides a positive experience to customers and the public. The business will incorporate retail settings, outdoor and horticultural services, growing and homemade produce as well as an in house digital sales and marketing facility.
The Team Manager will also supervise the Employment Pathway Coordinator.
The Team Manager will be responsible for developing a business plan for the service, reviewing progress against this plan and making changes in line with service user, customer needs and market trends. They will be responsible for managing the budget and for any additional grant funding allocated to the service.

You will be expected to: - Provide strategic leadership for Conwy Disability supported employment services.
- Provide line management responsibility to designated staff
- Promote Conwy Employment Support services, working alongside marketing to develop the brand, promoting the mission and vision for the service
- Engage staff teams in developing the service
- Provide operational oversight of dispersed staff teams
- Develop, implement and review business plans for the services delivered.
- Balance the often competing demands of running a successful public facing business with employment support services for people with disabilities
- Continuously seek development opportunities which will support the delivery of our service vision and mission
What we are looking for from you: - A good standard of education, educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Have relevant BASE (British Association for Supported Employment) training
- Experience in the retail sector relevant to Conwy Disability service small businesses
- Knowledge and understanding of the barriers that face people with learning and physical disabilities in accessing paid employment
- An understanding of the legal context for the delivery of social care services e.g. Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act and the Mental Capacity Act
- Management skills and budget planning
- Excellent organisational and research skills
- Proven experience in a project based / marketing and communications environment
- Previous experience of managing people in relation to all aspects of performance and attendance.
- Experience in successfully using audience insight and data to inform strategy and planning
