The Team Manager post is one of 3 FTE posts within the Assessment and Support Team. The function of the Team Manager is to support the Section Manager in the service delivery to Children and Families.
The team is responsible for services to children in need of care and support, children in need of protection and a small number of short term looked after children. There is a range of in house support services including the Strengthening Families Team and Bwthyn y Ddol which can be accessed to provide short to medium term interventions according to assessed need.
The Assessment and Support Team requires dynamic team managers willing and able to support social workers in managing complex case work effectively and contributing to service developments and innovations.

In order to be eligible to apply you must have the Social Work degree or an equivalent social work qualification, CQSW or DipSW with a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience with a good knowledge of relevant legislation.
As the team works in a bilingual area, the ability to communicate in both Welsh and English is desirable for the above post.
