We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual who will be part of a management team responsible for the operational management of Ty Llwynderw Residential and Extracare services.
Ty Llwynderw provides: -
A Domiciliary regulated Extracare service which supports people with assessed care and support needs to live as independently as possible in their own apartments. A residential care service which provides 24 hr residential care for people living with dementia.
A focus will be on person centred and person led services; you will be expected to develop opportunities for people, their families / carers to actively engage in consultation processes and service development
As part of the role you will support the Residential / Registered Manager:-
In the development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of residential and extracare services Promote a personalised, and person-centred service that responds to individual's needs and preferences Develop, monitor and review Personal Plans, specialist guidelines and risk assessments to ensure the service meets individuals' needs Lead, supervise and motivate a large team of staff and be part of the induction and probationary reviews of new employees. Allocate, co-ordinate and monitor the work of the team resolving routine issues and ensuring that individuals are provided with person centred support. Role model best practice to staff and provide line management support. Monitor finances in line with BCBC policies and procedures, i.e. monitoring cash expenditure and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained. Monitor medication administration and ensure procedures and records are maintained in line with BCBC's policies and procedures. Assist with the management of rotas, e.g. ensuring safe levels of support, staffing hours, cover for leave and absence.
You will be expected to participate in supervision sessions, career development opportunities and actively engage in training in order to maintain your own professional development and registration with Social Care Wales.
The role will involve working with other professionals to ensure statutory requirements and strategic direction are met and deliver outcomes that are driven by the Social Services & Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014
Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulatory guidance and codes of practices including Safeguarding Adults at Risk, Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 statutory guidance, Social Services & Wellbeing Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards is an essential element of the role
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
Night Duties and Weekend Working are a requirement of this post.
