We have an opportunity for a passionate and caring person to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in Ammanford.
This is part time, 31 hour position, for a fixed term period of 6 months.
The service provides 24 hour support for 4 individuals who live with mental illness, to build, develop and maintain skills to enable independence.

What is the role?
You will contribute to enabling people to set, develop and achieve their goals, being part of which is highly rewarding.
You will be involved in all aspects of day to day support the individuals, including;
Personal care Support with medication and health visits Support with laundry and cleaning Accompany clients to social activities Support with meal preparation Help individuals to grow in confidence to access the community Supporting individuals to maintain relationships with friends and family Work in partnership with Community schemes. What skills and experience do you need?
A background of working with people with mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided. More important are;

Key information
We provide 24 hour support so sleep ins are required, and all shifts will be lone working.
For this role you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
To work in this role you will need to be registered with Social Care Wales. If you’re not already we’ll help you do this as part of your recruitment process.
**A full UK driving licence, with access to you own car is required for this role**
