About the team:The team are co-located at Talygarn at County Hospital. The Team manage requests for assessment under the Mental Health Act as well as support with hospital discharges\/ community support and care and treatment planning. Those who receive support from secondary Mental Health services are identified a care co-ordinator; this can be any practitioner within the service including social workers. Nurses and other clinical staff. There is an expectation that any practitioner looking to develop a career in the team are committed to undertaking Approved Mental Health Training (AMHP).
As a Social Worker in the Mental health team you will: - work in a supportive team environment with opportunities to develop skills in respect of undertaking assessments, developing court statements and formulating care plans risk assessment and attend tribunals.
- Case loads are managed supportively and reflect skillset, development and experience.
- Have access to a supportive management infrastructure with a wealth of experience who are readily accessible for advice, support and decision making.
- Gain experience of working within a multi-agency setting and with other services \/ professionals.
- Have access to post-qualifying training and wider training courses.
- Have access to monthly supervision
