Are you looking for an opportunity to work in the beautiful, peaceful countryside of West Wales and for a forward-thinking local authority that provides good staff support?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Mental Health Teams to practice as a Social Work Assistant.
Two years of a global pandemic has had a dramatic effect on the health and wellbeing of the nation and the longer-term effects on people's emotional and mental health cannot be underestimated. An exciting, opportunity has become available within our Llanelli and Carmarthen based Mental Health Teams, and currently we are seeking suitably trained; and experienced Social Work Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient practitioner to join our Community Mental Health Teams in Llanelli and Carmarthen, and welcome applications from both experienced and newly experienced Social Work Assistants.
To be successful, you will have an appetite for promoting independence, know what good practice looks like and be experienced in delivering excellent outcomes and high-quality interventions for the citizen group and their families at the front door. Candidates should work well in a demanding work environment and be able to manage competing demands whilst working in partnership with citizens, their carers, and other professionals, you will manage your own small caseload and predominantly practice in a person centred and outcome focussed way under the remit of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act. Undertaking assessments, producing and reviewing care and support plans will be fundamental elements of your role.
You in turn will receive regular supervision and be part of a supportive environment in which there will be opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
The ability to travel within the county is essential.
