Job description
We are recruiting Social Care Workers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Location: Various Locations Across the Borough
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Supported Living Scheme.
We pay an attractive salary of £19,697.84 - £21,064.05 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
Caerphilly County Borough Councils’ Supported Living Scheme have a fantastic opportunity for two part time (30 hours per week) Female Social Care Workers. The focus of these roles is to provide care and support that promotes choice and independence for female clients with a learning disability to enable them to live their lives well.
These key roles will require the successful applicants to build positive working relationships with other team members. Communicate ideas with genuine passion, commitment and flexibility that will enhance team performance in our Supported Living Service.
The successful applicants will need to have experience of working in a care setting, be able to adopt a motivated, committed, and flexible approach to duties, this involves regular weekend working, sleep-overs and Bank Holidays. Also, experience with clients that require support and assistance with all aspects of daily life, personal care, and social skills is essential.
The successful applicants must be in receipt of or be committed to achieving a relevant qualification Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).

1. An understanding of the principles that underpin a quality care environment ie Privacy, dignity, respect, choice, independence and rights 2. Knowledge and understanding of the principles of valued community presence 3. Experience with people who require support and assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily living and social skills.
