Location: Llanddona, Anglesey
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week. This is 30 hours management, 7 hours hand on support and our shift patterns will include weekends but no sleep-ins
Salary: £32,669pa and our travel expenses is paid 45p per mile
Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:
Exciting! As the new Service Manager, you will be setting up a new project for an individual who requires ongoing round the clock support. You'll be supporting a new staff team, safeguarding the person we support to enable quality of life whilst ensuring we are compliant with regulations and legislation.
As Service Manager you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the support service as well as proactively engaging with the continued development of the service. You’ll provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, enabling them to provide quality, person- centred support to the people we support. You’ll enjoy building positive relationships with all stakeholders and put our vision and values into action.
You’ll carry out frequent reviews of the support requirements provided, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress log and risk assessments following the principles and practices of person-centred and relationship-centred Active Support. You’ll manage a team of support workers with responsibility for all aspects of team management and development as well as encouraging and coaching them to creatively problem solve and develop.
Above all else your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of support and independence for the people we support to make everyday remarkable.

experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards) a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfill their potential effective communication and the ability to influence others a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required Welsh language skills preferred so you can effectively communicate with Welsh-speaking people we support and meet their cultural and linguistic needs access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this a drivers licence and happy to travel for meetings and training.
