We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced individual who will be responsible for the overall operational management of our Learning Disability Accommodation Services for people with a range of support and care needs in the community
A focus will be on person centred and person led services; you will be expected to develop opportunities for people, their families / carers to actively engage in consultation processes and service development
The role will involve taking the lead with other professionals to ensure statutory requirements and strategic direction are met and deliver outcomes that are driven by the Social Services & Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014 and RISCA standards
The post holder will be responsible for the overall management, leadership and development of Managers and staff across multiple sites in the borough of Bridgend. You will oversee recruitment and be responsible for the effective deployment of resources across services to meet our statutory requirements
There will be a requirement to undertake Registered Manager responsibilities with Care Inspectorate for Wales, and monitor compliance and effective implementation across regulated services; a recognised management qualification in Leadership and Management will be essential.
Extensive experience in the management of services regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) is an essential requirement of the post. In addition to this we require the post holder to be a registered manager with Social Care Wales and have a recognised qualification in Leadership and Management.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
Weekend Working and Emergency Response are a requirement of this post.
